    Meggan C. Burchfield


    Meggan Burchfield is of counsel with Reed Carter. She has over ten years’ experience in a variety of practice areas including tort litigation, personal injury, commercial litigation, and employment litigation.


    Meggan grew up in Plano, Texas and graduated from Plano Senior High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas A&M University in 1996 and after graduating from college worked for two Fortune 500 companies before attending law school. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2002. She is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Texas.

    Meggan began her career with a boutique litigation firm in Coppell, Texas where she handled a variety of cases, including employment matters, tort litigation, and commercial litigation. She then joined a large defense firm in Downtown Dallas, where she was a senior associate handling a variety of major personal injury cases, trucking cases, and commercial litigation matters.


    Meggan resides in Dallas with her husband Jay and their two boys, Joseph and Bailey. She is very involved with her church, where she currently serves on the advisory council and is president of the mothers’ club. She is also an avid reader and enjoys cooking and baking.
